Cork Airport

Cork Airport (ORK)
Cork Airport (in Irish: Aerfort Chorcaí) is the second largest airport in Ireland after Dublin International Airport. In 2006 a new, extremely modern terminal was opened. The airport is now better equipped to process the three million passengers per year. Cork Airport is an important airport for the Irish airline Aer Lingus and budget airline Ryanair. There are direct international connections with cities including: London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Berlin, Paris and New York. Cork is on the south coast where the River Lee flows into Cork Harbor, a profound bay of the sea. The airport regularly contends with bad weather conditions, under these circumstances airplanes are redirected to Shannon, Kerry or Dublin.
