Hotels

The Sudima Hotel Grand Chancellor (tel: +64(0)3 358 3139) is a five minute walk from the terminal. Other options right by the airport are: Copthorne Hotel Commodore (tel: +64(0)3 962 9850) and Russley Hotel and Villas (tel: +64(0)3 358 6500). In the Arrivals Hall is a Travel and Information Center, where you can get information about hotels. For more hotels and to reserve online you can go to Booking.com, they have a large range of hotels with great internet rates.

Shops and restaurants

There are many bars, cafés and restaurants in both terminals, there is also a large choice of shops.

Baggage

You can store baggage at the Baggage Storage (tel: +64(0)3 353 7040) next to the Travel and Information Center in both terminals, the rate is NZD 5.00–NZD 8.00 per suitcase per day. The information center is the counter for lost and found items, you can inquire about misplaced baggage via email.

Information

In both terminals there are Travel and Information Centers, this is not only the place to get information about the airport, but also for hotel reservations, public transportation, places of interest etc, in fact it is a complete travel agency.

Business

The Travel and Information Center offers business services such as telephone, fax and copying. For the rental of offices and/or meeting rooms you can contact the International Antarctic Center (tel: +64(0)3 353 7798) or the Sudima Hotel Grand Chancellor (see Hotels).

In both terminals you can find lounges from airlines on the first level.

Disabled facilities

Christchurch Airport has excellent accessibility for the disabled. There are wheelchair ramps, adapted elevators, restrooms and showers. The ATM's are equipped with Braille. Right in front of the terminal there are parking places reserved for the disabled. Further information is available through the Travel and Information Center.

Other services

In the terminal there are many banks, money exchange offices and ATM's. The Travel and Information Center also serves as a post office. In both terminals you can find a play corner for children. If you have to wait a long time for your next flight, a visit to the International Antarctic Center is most rewarding, which is a 5 minute walk from the terminal.
