Local transport

Train

There is a train connection to the center of Philadelphia, the R1, operated by the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transport Authority - SEPTA (tel: +1(0)215 580 7800). It leaves every 30 minutes to, among other places, the Amtrak Station on 30th Street, the Greyhound Bus Terminal and University City, a one-way ticket costs $7.00.

Car and bus

The airport is easy to reach via the I-95 South (Interstate 95), or via the I-76 East. The exit to the airport is clearly indicated.

At the Commercial Transportation Roadway there are public transport terminals. Bus lines 37 and 108 connect Zone 1 to the center of Philadelphia.

Car rental - Philadelphia International Airport

Car rental companies: Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz and National have their desks at Zone 2. At the baggage handling area, there are telephones you can use to contact these desks to rent a car. You can also book a car in advance at EasyTerra, which offers a comparison of several providers.

Taxi

At Zone 5 on the Commercial Transportation Roadway, there are taxis, at Zone 6 shuttle buses and at Zone 7 limousines. Taxis use a fixed rate of $26.25 to the center of Philadelphia. Airport Parking

For safety reasons, parking on the ground floor at the baggage handling areas, was for some time, not possible, but it is once again allowed. However, at a higher rate: $3.00 for the first half hour and after that $2.00 per hour, after 4 hours, there is a daily rate of $38.00. In the other indoor car parks, the rates are the same for the first 3.5 hours, but the daily rate is lower at $17.00. At Economy Parking, there is a daily rate of $9.00.
