Florence Airport (Italian: Firenze) is named after the Italian businessman and cartographer - Amerigo Vespucci. It is also called Peretola Airport. The airport is not far, 80 kilometers from the airport of Pisa, Galileo Galilei. Together these airports form an entrance gateway to Tuscany, one of the most popular holiday areas in Italy.

The airport was renovated in 2006 in order capture the increase of travelers. In 2015 Florence Airport processed almost 2.5 million passengers.
