Pisa Airport Galileo Galilei

Pisa Airport Galileo Galilei (PSA)
Pisa Airport is officially named after Galileo Galilei, an Italian physicist, philosopher and astronomer that was born in Pisa. He claimed that the earth rotated around the sun, but at that time his discovery was not well received by the Roman Catholic Church. Just recently in 1992 his name was finally cleared.
The airport is two kilometers from Pisa, 20 kilometers from Livorno and 80 kilometers from Florence. It is the entry way to Tuscany, a popular holiday area.
