Bari Airport

The airports in Apulia (Puglia) in southern Italy have formed a cooperation. The Bari airport is a division of Aeroporti di Puglia, which also includes Brindisi Airport, Foggia Airport and Taranto Airport. Bari Airport is 11 kilometers northwest of the city near Palese. The official name is ‘Karol Wojtyla Airport’, after Pope John Paul II. Locals also call it Aeroporto di Palese Macchie.

A new terminal and an improved runway were recent additions. Almost 4 million passengers used the airport in 2015.
