Mytilene International Airport is the airport of the Greek island Lesbos. It's also known as Odysseas Elytis. For many airlines it's mainly a summer destination. The Greek airlines Olympos carries out scheduled flights between Lesbos and Athens, Chios, Limnos, Samos, Thessaloniki and Rhodes all year round.

Car and bus

The airport is situated eight kilometers southeast of Mytilene, Lesbos' capital. The airport is easily accessible by rental car via the Eleftheriou Venizelou, a road running directly along the coast.

There's a bus connection with Mytilene's center. From the capital there are busses to other destinations on Lesbos.

Because most tourists ignore the capital and travel directly from the airport to their beach hotel, there aren't a lot of accommodations in Mytilene's center. Shops and restaurants

Lesbos Airport is small and simple, with only one coffee shop/café and one duty-free shop.
