Thessaloniki International Airport

Thessaloniki 'Macedonia' Airport is also called Mikra Airport, after its location. It is Greece's second airport and handles 4 million visitors annually. There is a passenger and a cargo terminal.

Local transport

Train

There is no direct train to the airport. Bus 78 goes to the New Railway train station of Thessaloniki every half an hour.

Car and bus

The airport is located about 15 kilometers south east of Thessaloniki.

At the departure hall there is the bus station. Bus 78 goes from the airport to the center of Thessaloniki every half an hour. The trip takes about 45 minutes and costs about EUR 0.60. For more information, please visit the OASTH bus company website.

Car rental Thessaloniki International Airport

Taxi

There is a communication center on the first floor. This offers extensive business services, from telephone cards to faxing and photocopying services.

Access for disabled people

Thessaloniki Airport has toilets for people with reduced mobility and telephones for hearing impaired people. Furthermore, the airport has wheelchair ramps and adapted toilets.
