The southernmost airport of France is called in full Perpignan Rivesaltes Airport, after the two places in between which the airport is located. Although both these places are in France, the airport is an important gateway to the Spanish Costa Brava, on the other side of the Pyrenees. The airport is mainly used by budget airlines, but Air France also carries out flights to Paris Orly.

There's no train connection with Perpignan Airport. The nearest train station is Perpignan itself.
Car and bus
The airport is situated 3 kilometers north of Perpignan and is easily accessible by rental car. From the airport the D117 connects with toll road A9 (which connects Toulouse and Montpellier with Barcelona in Spain) and the parallel road D900 which leads to Perpignan's center. You can also continue on the D117 to reach the city center.
Directly after flight arrivals a ShuttleDirect shuttle bus runs to Perpignan's center, costs: € 4.50.
Car rental Perpignan Airport
For such a small airport there are many car rental companies present at Perpignan Airport. There are no less than six companies: Ada, Avis, Hertz, Europcar, National/Citer and Sixt. The counters can be found near the baggage claim. You can also book a rental car in advance using the service provided by EasyTerra; they compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.
Taxis can be found just outside the Arrivals Hall. All taxis have a meter. For a ride to Perpignan's center you pay approximately € 15.00. You can book a taxi via +33 (0)4 6835 1515.
Parking lot P1 can accommodate almost 800 cars. The first 15 minutes you can park for free, the next hour costs € 1.60 and then € 0.60 per hour. Parking lot P2 is reserved for rental cars. Look for the sign ‘Park Louers’. You can easily miss this exit, but no worries: continue past the terminal and then turn around.

Shops and restaurants
There aren't a lot of options for eating, drinking and shopping at Perpignan Airport. On the ground floor of the terminal you'll find a bar/café with directly opposite some shops. There's a larger restaurant on the second floor.

The Comfort Hotel at the airport also rents out two small meeting rooms. Better facilities can be found at some of the hotels in the city center.
At the parking lot, right next to the terminal, four places have been reserved for disabled travelers. The airport, including the elevators and toilets, has good accessibility for wheelchair users.
