Tel Aviv airport: Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport (TLV)

Tel Aviv Ben Gurion Airport

Tel Aviv's international airport is Israel's largest and most important airport. The airport is named after Israel's first prime minister David Ben-Gurion, but the locals also call it Natbag. Natbag is the pronunciation for the Hebrew acronym of Nemal Teufah Ben Gurion.

The airport is near the town of Lod and handles about 9 million passengers annually. It has three terminals, which are connected by a free shuttle bus. T1 is for domestic flights, T2 for low-cost airlines and T3 for international flights. Safety regulations are very strict at the airport.
