Hotels Amsterdam Schiphol Airport

There's a large supply of hotels at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. Ranging from simple (and quite small) 'huts' in the Yotel behind customs, to luxurious hotels like the Sheraton and the Hilton. The airport also offers hotels in the midrange category, such as the Mercure Hotel or the Ibis Hotel.

Hotels in Amsterdam city center

Amsterdam has a lot of attractions and places of interest, such as the world-famous ring of canals and many museums. In the middle of the old center there's the Sofitel The Grand, in the former city hall of Amsterdam, and the Grand Hotel Krasnapolsky on Dam square. Not far from this central square, near the Anne Frank House, lies the budget-friendly Aspen Hotel. In the old part of town you'll find many cheap accommodations. Check your room before booking it, because quality varies somewhat. A good budget hostel is Bob’s Youth Hostel.

The large art museums (Rijksmuseum, Van Gogh Museum and Stedelijk Museum) can be found in the so-called 'Museumkwartier'. In this southern part of town there are for example the Hilton Amsterdam and the Park Hotel. These are luxury hotels, but there's also a large supply of midrange hotels, such as Hotel Roemer, which offers a nice combination of modern and traditional rooms.

In and around the 'Museumkwartier' you won't find many cheap hotels. An exception is the former youth hostel, nowadays called Stayokay, on the edge of the Vondelpark, the 'green lung' of Amsterdam.
