Toulon-Hyères Airport (TLN)

The airport of Toulon/Hyères has experienced a considerable growth in the last few years thanks to the arrival of budget airlines (i.e. Ryanair and Transavia). There are direct flights to London-Stansted, Rotterdam, Brussels, Brest and Paris-Orly. Now about 700,000 passengers each year make use of this airport. According to expectations that number will further increase in the coming year. The airport lies spectacularly on the Mediterranean Sea.

Local transport

Train

There is no train connection with the airport. Busses bring you to the train station of Toulon where you can travel further to Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, Le Luc, Fréjus-St Raphaël, Cannes and Nice.

Car and bus

The airport is 23 kilometers east of Toulon and is easily accessible from highway A570 (direction of Hyères and Saint-Tropez). At the roundabout you take the exit to N98 that you follow for 400 meters. Then take a right to the D559 and after three kilometers take one more right to the D97. The exit for D42 will lead you to the airport.

Saint-Tropez is 52 km east of the airport. The city is accessible by the N98.

Opposite the main entrance you can find busses from the company “Sodetrav-Reseau Mistral”. For about € 10.00 these busses bring you to the centre of Toulon. On Friday, Saturday and Sunday a bus goes four times per day to Saint-Tropez (daily in July and August).

In the Arrivals Hall you can find the counters for various car rental companies, including Europcar and National/Alamo. You can also reserve a rental car in advance using the service EasyTerra provides. They compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.

Taxi

Taxis (tel: +33(0)494 00 60 00) are in front of the Arrivals Hall. A ride to Toulon takes about 20 minutes and costs around € 40.00. A taxi to Saint-Tropez costs about € 85.00.

Airport Parking

In front of the terminal there are two large parking areas. P1 is for short term parking and P2 is for long term parking. There is a special counter in the Arrivals Hall where you can obtain information about parking at the airport (tel: +33(0)494 00 83 14).

There are no hotels at the airport. For more hotels and reserving online you can go to Booking.com. They have a large offering of hotels with great internet rates.

Shops and restaurants

Toulon-Hyères Airport is a small airport so he offering of bars, restaurants and shops is modest. You will find a restaurant, a café, a gift shop, a newspaper kiosk and a shop with alcohol and tobacco products.

Baggage

There are no possibilities to store your baggage. The personnel at the general information counter also take care of lost and found items.

In the Arrivals Hall you can find the general information counter and a counter where you can inquire about tourist opportunities and accommodations in the region (“Le Var”).

Business

The airport has a VIP lounge, but there are no facilities for meetings.

Handicapped persons

The airport is very accessible for handicapped persons. Close to the main entrance there are parking places reserved for handicapped persons.

Other services

Because Toulon-Hyères is a small airport you only have to check in shortly before take off. For budget companies you should check in a minimum of 40 minutes and for Air France flights a minimum of 20 minutes.

Wireless internet (WiFi) is present in the airport. There is a permanent water color exhibition from the artist Vincent D'Arves.
