Shops and restaurants
Both terminals offer a reasonable number of restaurants, cafés, (snack) bars and shops, whereby the newer Terminal 2 clearly beats the old Terminal 1. The Luxor Hotel offers a Brazilian grill restaurant.
You can find lockers for baggage and lost-and-found desks in both terminals. You can also have your baggage wrapped in plastic.
Both in the Arrivals and Departure Halls you can find information desks for inquiries about Rio de Janeiro Galeão Airport, flight schedules and airport services. In addition Terminal 2 offers touch screens where you can search for information. The Tourist Office has a counter in the Arrivals Hall of both terminals.
Apart from some basic facilities such as faxing and copying there are no business facilities available in the terminal. For this you need to turn to the Luxor Hotel (see Hotels) which also offers meeting space and conference rooms.
Rio de Janeiro Galeão Airport has excellent accessibility for the disabled. There are wheelchair ramps, adapted elevators and toilets, and also low-hanging telephones. Parking places have also been reserved for disabled travelers nearby the terminal.
You'll find banks, exchange offices and ATM's scattered around the terminals. There are also a post office, a pharmacy, a First Aid station and baby rooms. The airport offers internet cafés, as well as hotspots providing wireless internet (Wi-Fi), for example at Bob's Restaurant, Rei do Mate restaurant and the Via Mundi café.
