There's no hotel at Belo Horizonte Airport. The nearest hotels are located around the recreation lake Lagoa Santa, about 6 kilometers east of the airport, including Ramada Airport Lagoa Santa (Tel. +55(0)31 3688 1000) and Hotel Antônio Maria (Tel. +55(0)31 3681 1117). About 10 kilometers south of the airport lies the resort Sitio Descanso e Lazer (Tel. +55(0)31 3621 9697). Belo Horizonte offers a large range of hotels, like the Ouro Minas Palace Hotel (Tel. +55(0)31 3429-4000) and the Clarion Hotel Lourdes (Tel. +55(0)31 3290-0933). For more hotels and to book online, you can go to Booking.com. They offer a large range of hotels at competitive internet rates.
Shops and restaurants
There are some restaurants, cafés and (snack) bars on the top floor of the terminal, near the observation platform. There are also some places to eat outside the terminal. There are a limited number of shops at Belo Horizonte Airport, but this number will undoubtedly be expanded when the airport will be renewed for the FIFA World Cup.
A lost and found office (Tel. +55(0)31 3689-2089) is located in the Arrivals Hall.
Both in the Arrivals and Departure Halls there are information desks (Tel. +55(0)31 3689 2700/1/2/4/5) for inquiries about Belo Horizonte Airport, flight schedules and airport services. The tourist office Belotur (Tel. +55(0)31 3689 2557) has a counter in the Arrivals Hall.
Except for basic facilities like copying and faxing the airport doesn't provide business facilities. For this you have to turn to the business hotels in Belo Horizonte (see Hotels).
Belo Horizonte Airport has good accessibility for the disabled. There are wheelchair ramps and some adapted elevators and toilets. The facilities for disabled persons will probably be further improved with the expansion of the airport for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
There are banks, exchange offices and ATM's scattered around the terminals. There's also a viewing platform on the top floor. The First Aid station is located in the Arrivals Hall.
