Local transport

Train

There's no train connection with Gold Coast Airport yet, but there are plans to extend the so-called Gold Coast Line to the airport. The nearest station is Robina Station, accessible by bus 761.

Car and bus

Gold Coast Airport is situated 20 kilometers south of Surfers Paradise and north of Tweed Heads. The airport is located between the Gold Coast Highway and the Pacific Motorway and therefore easily accessible by rental car.

Outside the Arrivals Hall there's a transport kiosk where you can buy tickets for buses with various destinations. Bus 702 runs via the Gold Coast Highway to Surfers Paradise and Southport. Bus 761 maintains the connection between Tweed Heads and Robina and stops halfway at Gold Coast Airport.

Car rental Gold Coast Airport

You can find counters for car rental companies in the Arrivals Hall. Six rental companies are present at Gold Coast Airport: Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, RedSpot and Thrifty. You can also book a rental car in advance by using the service provided by EasyTerra; they compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.

Taxi

Outside the Arrivals Hall there are taxis of the company Gold Coast Cabs. You can book a taxi on this company's website. A taxi ride to Surfers Paradise costs approximately 40 Australian dollars.

Airport Parking

Just in front of Terminal 1 there's a short-term parking lot with directly behind it covered places for long-term parking. In front of Terminal 2 there's a smaller parking lot for short-term parking. Another long-term parking lot lies a bit further away from the terminals. More information about the various parking facilities can be found on the website of Gold Coast Airport.
