Train

Three Valley Subway lines (13, 15 and 40) stop at the nearby Washington Station on 44th Street. There are free shuttle buses from that station to the terminals.

In the future, these shuttle buses will be replaced by the Sky Train, which is under construction. In 2013 this light rail will connect Washington Station with the East Economy Parking and Terminal 4. Later this line will be extended and connect all terminals, as well as the car rental center on the west side of the airport. The height of the light rail is exceptional: a Boeing 747 can pass underneath!

Car and bus

The airport is situated five kilometers southeast of Phoenix' business district (Central Business District) and is easily accessible by rental car via the Papago Freeway (exit 148) west of the airport, or the Hohokam Expressway east of the airport.

There are no bus connections between the airport and Phoenix. There are shuttle buses to and from various hotels in the city. You can also take the so-called SuperShuttle, a cheaper alternative for the taxi.
