Car and bus

The airport is situated six kilometers from Honolulu and about 13 kilometers from the popular Waikiki Beach. The airport has easy accessibility by rental car via several Highways: Queen Liliuokalani Freeway (H1), Moanalua Freeway (H201) or John Burns Freeway (H3).

Three buses stop at the airport. Lines 19 and 20 run to Honolulu's city center and to Waikiki. Line 31 connects the airport with Kalihi Transit Center and the Tripler Army Medical Center. There are more buses on the main road, at walking distance from the terminal.

There's also a shuttle connection with the hotels on Waikiki Beach, the Waikiki Express.

Car rental Honolulu Airport

You can find counters of car rental companies in the Arrivals Hall. Several rental companies are present at Honolulu Airport, including Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise Hertz and National. You can also book a rental car in advance by using the service provided by EasyTerra; they compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.

Taxi

Outside the Arrivals Hall you'll find taxis of AMPCO Express (Tel. +1 808 861 8294). The taxis have a meter. A taxi ride to Waikiki Beach should cost about US$ 35-40.

Airport Parking

There are parking lots at all terminals and there's a parking garage at the Overseas Terminal. The number of places is limited and therefore there's also a (long-term parking) facility outside the airport. A shuttle bus runs between this parking lot and the terminals. Parking here costs US$ 12.00 per day, with a minimum of two days. More information via telephone number +1 808 861 1260.
