San Pedro Sula Airport is Honduras' busiest airport, busier than Toncontin Airport near the capital Tegucigalpa. Finding your way in the terminal is easy: the Arrivals and Departure Halls as well as all facilities are on the ground floor. However, a new terminal is being built (expected to be ready in 2015) to handle the growing number of passengers.
The airport is also known as La Mesa Airport, after its location. The airport is called after Ramón Villeda Morales, president of Honduras between 1957 and 1963.
