Local transport

Train

There is no train connection with the airport, but there are buses that go to the station in Bologna. It is an important station in the Italian railway network with excellent connections.

Car and bus

The airport is six kilometers outside of Bologna, from the exit you take exit 4 of the ring road (Tangenziale). From elsewhere in Italy the airport is accessible from the A14, exit Bologna-San Lazzaro, then Tangenziale, exit 4, from the A13, exit Bologna-Arcoveggio, then Tangenziale, exit 4 and from the A1, exit Bologna-Casalecchio, then Tangenziale, exit 4.

The Aerobus (tel: +39(0)51 290290) takes you to the center of Bologna (train station) in 20 minutes, a bus ticket costs €4.50.

Every two hours (between 06:15 and 22:30) a direct bus (tel: +39(0)59 236530) leaves for Modena, travel time is approximately 50 minutes.

Furthermore, there is a direct bus connection with Siena, travel time is approximately 2.5 hours.

Car rental - Bologna Airport

You can rent a car from the following car rental companies, which can be found in the Arrivals Hall: Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Maggiore, Sixt, Intercar, Thrifty and Autovia. Taxi

Taxis are outside the Arrivals Hall. There are two taxi companies that are allowed at the airport: COTABO (tel: +39(0)51 372727) and CAT (tel: +39(0)51 534141).

Airport Parking

On the ground floor of the terminal you can find parking garage P1, next to the terminal is P2. Both are intended for short-term parking, the first hour costs €2.60 and 24 hours costs €12.00. The parking area P3 is partially covered and costs €12.80 per day for the first 4 days, then €6.00 per day thereafter. P4 is the most economical for long-term parking, the first week costs €30.00, the second week costs €20.00, then €4.00 per day thereafter. For information about parking (tel: +39(0)51 400394).
