Train

A direct connection between the airport and the city rail line of Hamburg (S-Bahn) was built in 2008. Until then, the S-Bahnstation Ohlsdorf was accessible with the Airport Express Bus (line 110).

Car and bus

The airport lies between the two ring roads around Hamburg (R2 and R3) and is right along highway A7 (exit Schnelsen – Nord). From the center of Hamburg, the route to the airport is clearly indicated on traffic signs. In morning and evening rush hours the roads around the airport are very busy.

Directly in front of the terminal, buses leave to various destinations in Hamburg, line 110 (Airport Express) goes to the Central Station.
