Hotels

There is one hotel at the airport, a country house style Airport Hotel (tel: +49(0)40 531 020). Close to the airport is the Mercure Hotel (tel: +49(0)40 532 090) and the Best Western Alsterkrug Hotel (tel: +49(0)40 513 030). In 2008 a new luxury hotel opened and is across from the terminal building. Shops and restaurants

As a large airport, Hamburg Airport has no shortage of shops, restaurants, snack bars and cafes. In Terminal 2 you can find the table service restaurant, Mövenpick (tel: +49(0)40 5075 3328).

Baggage

You can store your baggage in the Arrivals Hall of Terminal 2. The Airport Office is where you can ask about lost and found items. Porters can be reserved (tel: +49(0)40 5075 2010).

Information

There are information counters in both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 that can also be reached through the general telephone number. The Airport Office (tel: (0)40 5075 1010) not only gives information about the airport, but also provides information about all kinds of services including the possibility to get last minute travel insurance.

Business

At the Airport Office you can send faxes, make photocopies and use computers. Offices and meeting rooms for a maximum of 90 people can be rented at the Airport Conference Center (tel: +49(0)40 5075 2500). The Hanseatic Conference and Banqueting Center (tel: +49(0)40 5075 3338) offer larger rooms and all sorts of business services such as fax, copying, translating and rental of audiovisual equipment. Disabled facilities

The airport has excellent accessibility for the disabled. There are wheelchair ramps, adapted elevators, restrooms and telephones. For the support or accompaniment of disabled travelers, such as door to door service, you can call the German Red Cross at the airport, DRK Mediservice, (tel: +49(0)40 5075 3353).

Other services

There are banks, money exchange offices and many ATM's. Furthermore, there are play corners for children. First Aid is offered by the Red Cross on the first floor of Terminal 2 (tel: +49(0)40 5075 3353). With the opening of the new Central Hall that was completed in 2008, the service level at Hamburg Airport is considerably higher.
