Shops and restaurants
Shopping facilities at Kunming Airport are limited. There's only one duty-free shop which also serves as gift and souvenir shop offering nice local products. The few restaurants and cafés are mainly targeting Chinese customers.
On the second floor of the terminal there's a counter to deposit baggage at a cost of 5 yuan per four hours.
There are information desks (Tel. +86(0)871 711 6114) in both the Arrivals and Departure Halls. This doesn't imply you will also find the information you're looking for. Although some employees speak (some) English, most only speak Chinese. For information about flight schedules you can call +86(0)871 96566, where (most of the time) English speaking staff is available.
Apart from some basic facilities like faxing and copying at the general information desks and the Best Commercial VIP Lounge Kunming Airport doesn't offer business facilities. For this you need to turn to the Jia Lu Da Airport Hotel (see Hotels) which also offers meeting space and conference rooms.
Kunming Airport has good accessibility for the disabled. There are wheelchair ramps and adapted elevators, toilets and telephones. On the short-term parking lot places have also been reserved for disabled travelers.
You'll find ATM's scattered around the terminal. Kunming Airport has no exchange offices, but you can change money at the Bank of China in the Arrivals Hall. Here you'll also find counters to book a hotel room and to buy tickets for the bus to Kunming.
