Local transport

DFW Airport is not directly connected with a train station but on the south side of the airport there's the CenterPort/DFW Airport station. Commuter trains run to the center of both Dallas and Fort Worth. To get to the station you need to take a shuttle bus to the long-term parking lot.

A subway station will be opened between terminals A and B in 2014. The Orange Line subway will then maintain the connection with Dallas and Las Colinas.

Car and bus

Dallas/Fort Worth Airport is situated 24 kilometers northwest of Dallas' center and 29 kilometers northeast of Fort Worth. There are various ways to and from the airport: on the north side of the airport Highways 114, 121 and 635 and on the south side Highways 183 and 360. From Dallas' center you drive your rental car via Interstate 35 East north and then via Highway 183 to the International Parkway which runs right across DFW Airport.

Dallas Area Rapid Transit maintains express bus services to Dallas and Irving. Airporter buses (Tel. +1 817 267 5150) also run to various destinations, including large hotels in Fort Worth.

Car rental Dallas/Fort Worth Airport

Ten car rental companies are present at Dallas/Fort Worth Airport, but not every company is present in each terminal. You can rent a car with Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, E Z Rent, Hertz, National and Thrifty. The rental cars are parked near the southern entrance of DFW Airport; a shuttle bus runs to and from this parking lot every five minutes. You can also book a rental car in advance by using the service provided by EasyTerra; they compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.

Outside the Arrivals Hall you'll find taxis which all have a meter. There are, however, also taxis that charge a fixed rate (US$ 40.00 to each destination within Dallas' business district, US$ 43.00 to the business district of Fort Worth). Ask your taxi driver before you get in the car.

Airport Parking

There are parking garages and parking lots for short-term parking near all terminals. The long-term parking lots are further out, but shuttle buses run between the terminals and those parking lots. More information about parking at DFW Airport via: +1 972 574 7275.
