There are no hotels at Guatemala City Airport. The nearest hotels are Hotel Westin Camino Real (Tel. +502(0)2 433 3000), Hotel Real Intercontinental Guatemala (Tel. +502(0)2 413 4444), Clarion Suites Hotel Guatemala City (Tel. +502(0)2 421 3333) and a Holiday Inn (Tel. +502(0)2 421 0000). Shops and restaurants
Since the renovation of the old terminal and the addition of Terminal North the range of restaurants, (snack) bars and coffee shops has greatly improved. The shopping area has also been expanded, with for example a large duty-free shop and many souvenir shops.
You cannot store baggage. For lost-and-found objects you need to turn to the information desk in the central hall.
There's an information desk in the central hall where employees can inform you about flight schedules and airport services. There are also counters of the Tourist Office and you can book hotels in the Arrivals Hall.
Apart from some basic facilities such as copying and faxing at the VIP lounge (Presidents Club) there are no business facilities at Guatemala City Airport. Business facilities and the possibility to rent meeting space and conference rooms are offered by the business hotels in the city (see Hotels).
Excellent facilities have been created for the disabled when the terminal was renovated. There are wheelchair ramps, wide automatic doors, adapted toilets and low-hanging telephones. You can ask for assistance at the information desk.
You can go to a bank or one of the exchange offices to change money. There are also several ATM's. In addition there's a post office, a pharmacy and several travel agents. You can contact the First Aid station via the information desk. Although not at the airport, but fun to visit if you need to wait a long time for your flight, is the zoo. It's a fifteen-minute walk from the airport. Do you have more time available? Opposite the zoo there's a large souvenir market.
