Local transport

Train

There is a direct subway connection (line 8) from T1, T2 and T3 via Mar de Cristal to the financial heart of Madrid, station Nuevos Ministerios, travel time is 12 minutes. At the station Nuevos Ministerios you can check-in for flights with Air Europa, Spanair, Alitalia and Pluna. Car and bus

From the ring road of Madrid (M-40), the airport is accessible by the A2 taking the direction to Barcelona and then exit 12 to the M-14 that runs along terminals 1, 2, and 3, before T4 and T4S you drive through the tunnel and the road number turns into M-13, exit 0A takes you to the terminal. Bus line 200 runs from T1, T2, and T3 to Avenida de América, this bus stops at subway lines 4, 6, 7 and 9. Bus line 101 goes to Canillejas and also stops at subway line 5. Bus line 204 runs from T4 to Avenida de América, this bus also stops at subway stations on lines 4, 6, 7 and 9. Bus line 201 runs for the metro station at the airport, line 8.

A tourist pass for the use of public transportation costs €3.50 for one day or €18.40 for a week.

Car rental - Madrid Barajas Airport

You can find counters for car rental companies: Atesa International, Avis, Europcar and Hertz in the Arrivals Hall of T1, T2, and T4. Ares Mobile rents limousines with a driver. You can also reserve a rental car in advance using the service EasyTerra provides, they compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.

Taxi

You can find taxis at the Arrivals Halls for T4 and T1, before Gate 2 and T2, before Baggage Hall 5. The prices are rather complicated, the price is, among other things, dependent upon the zones and the time of day. The airport surcharge amounts to €4.50 and being dropped off at a bus or train station has an extra charge of €2.40, a ride to the center of Madrid costs between €25.00 and €30.00.

Airport Parking

For terminals T1, T2, and T4 there are parking garages, respectively P1, P2, and P4. The prices are: first half hour €0.60, second half hour €0.90, and each hour thereafter is €1.50, the first four days is € 5.00 per day, and €12.00 per day thereafter.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a limit for paying by credit cards. For Visa, Mastercard and Eurocard the limit is €90.15, and for Diners and American Express €120.20. Higher amounts must be paid in cash.

The area for long-term parking (tel: +34(0)913 936 937) has shuttle bus connections with the terminals. The prices are: first two days €9.50 per day, third to fifth day €8.50 per day, and €4.50 per day thereafter. A Parking Pass is cheaper, it costs €52.00 for eight days and €78.00 for 15 days.
