Ibiza Airport is very busy in the high season (May-October), and apart from that it is quiet. For an indication, more than 85% of the total passengers processed per year are processed in the top months. In 2014 the airport processed more than six million passengers. The airport has been expanded over recent years. The airport is over seven kilometers southwest of the city of Ibiza (Eivissa).

There is no railway in Ibiza.
Car and bus
The airport is easily accessible. There is only one road that leads to the airport, the PM-801. From the PM-803 (Ibiza-San José) you take the exit at kilometer 4.
Between 07:20 and 22:50 a bus leaves every half hour directly to the bus terminal in the city of Ibiza, at the Avenida Isidoro Macabich. You can find the stop right in front of the Arrivals Hall and the price is €1.20. From Ibiza there are buses to San Antonio, St. Rafael, St. Jordi de ses Salines, Santa Eulalia, Cala Llonga and Santa Agnes.
Car rental - Ibiza Airport
In the Arrivals Hall there are counters for the following car rental companies: Avis, Betacar Ibiza, Centauro, Hertz and Tui Cars (Ultramar Express). You can also reserve a rental car in advance using the service EasyTerra provides, they compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.
Taxis are in front of the Arrivals Hall. All official taxis have meters and the prices are €0.82 per kilometer during the day (06:00–21:00), €1.12 per kilometer during the night (21:00–06:00), the minimum price is €2.80 and there is an airport surcharge of €1.40, a ride to the city of Ibiza does not cost more than €10.00 and takes approximately 20 minutes.
When dropping off or picking up passengers you can park for free right in front of the terminal in the Blue Zone (Zona Azul) for a maximum of 15 minutes. There is room for 500 parking places in parking area P1, the first half hour of parking is free, and then you must pay €0.90 per hour or €9.00 per day.
There is no lack of hotels on this tourist island. Shops and restaurants
Ibiza Airport does not have many stores, seven in total, you can find them especially on the first level of the terminal. There are many local products, i.e. food, to purchase. There is one Aldeasa Duty Free shop.
As far as eating and drinking is concerned, there is a choice of a few snack bars, cafes and fast food restaurants.
You cannot store baggage at Ibiza airport. There is an office for lost and found items in the Arrivals Hall (tel: +34(0)971 809 207).
