Local transport

Train

There is no train connection with the airport. A bus goes to the train station in Bratislava.

Car and bus

The airport is along the important highway D1. You can reach the center of Bratislava by car in 15 minutes (a bit longer in the morning and evening rush hour). The exit to the airport (‘Letisko’) is clearly indicated.

Bus line 61 goes every 10 or 20 minutes to the train station in Bratislava. Tickets are only available in the ticket machine. The ride to the center takes approximately half an hour. There are good tram and bus connections with the rest of the city from the train station, including to the main bus station, Bratislava AS Mlynské Nivy, trolley bus 210.

Terravision (tel: +421(0)2 3303 3324) maintains a direct connection with the city center of Vienna, this bus leaves from the stop in front of Exit C.

Car rental - Bratislava Airport

In the Arrivals Hall there are counters for car rental companies: Avis, Hertz, Europcar and Sixt. You can also reserve a rental car in advance using the service EasyTerra provides, they compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.

Taxi

The taxis outside the Arrivals Hall charge high rates for a ride to Bratislava, it is better to order a taxi by telephone (tel: +421(0)2 4444 1111), then you pay Sk 200-350, depending on the amount of traffic and time.

Airport Parking

Short-term parking is in the parking area in front of the terminal and costs Sk 60 per hour, there are only places for 500 cars. There is cheaper parking in parking garage P2 and costs Sk 300 per day, Sk 800 per week. A shuttle bus goes between this garage and the terminal. You can reserve a place (tel: +421(0)2 4857 6261).
