The airport has a combined bus and train station that is called 'The Station', many trains from the north of England and the Midlands come to the station. Other destinations are accessible from Manchester Piccadilly in the city center. There are plans to put in a monorail between the airport and Piccadilly, at the moment this route is still used by regular service trains.
Car and bus
The airport is along the M56 highway (exit 5) that connects to the ring road around Manchester (M60, exit 4). The routes to the various terminals are clearly indicated on the traffic signs.
