Nuremberg International Airport has grown tremendously the last few years. This is mainly because the airlines Air Berlin carries out many flights from this airport.

The airport has a subway connection with Nuremberg. Every 10-15 minutes a train leaves for the terminus Hauptbahnhof, in the city center.
Car and bus
Nuremberg Airport is situated only 5 kilometers north of the city center, in the outskirts of Nuremberg. The airport is easily accessible via freeway A3 (Frankfurt-Regensburg). This road connects to two other freeways, A9 and A6. Together these freeways form a ring road around Nuremberg.
There's a bus stop in front of the terminal. Bus 32 maintains the connection with Nuremberg's center.

Shops and restaurants
Nuremberg Airport offers a large choice of eating and drinking facilities. There's a Mövenpick restaurant and there are also three bars, some bakeries and coffee shops and a McDonald's. There are a good number of shops, including duty-free shops, a jeweler, a bookstore and a shop specialized in traveling items.

The airport has two VIP lounges, one of Lufthansa (Star Alliance) and the Noris Sky Lounge. There's an entrance fee of € 15 for those not flying First or Business Class.
The Mövenpick Conference Center (Tel. +49(0)911 952 860) has eight meeting and conference rooms available, with a maximum capacity of 200 people. The Mövenpick Hotel (see Hotels) opposite the terminal has another 4 rooms.
Nuremberg Airport has excellent accessibility for the disabled. There are wheelchair ramps, adapted elevators and toilets, low-hanging telephones and facilities for the hearing-impaired. Places have also been reserved for disabled travelers in the parking garages.
You can find a exchange office in the central hall. There are also several ATM's as well as a hairdresser and a post office. There's a children's playground in the Departure Hall. Wireless internet (Wi-Fi) is available for which you need to buy a prepaid card at the Airport Shop. This is expensive: € 8 for 1 hour.
