Local transport

Train

There is no train connection with the airport, but there is a shuttle bus to the train station in Pau. From there trains leave to Bayonne and Biarritz in the west, and Lourdes,Tarbes and Toulouse in the east. There are also regular train services to Bordeaux and Paris.

Car and bus

The airport lies along the D716, that connects to the highway from Bayonne to Toulouse (A64-E80), the auto route Pyrénéenne. For Pau you take the exit from the airport to the right, and you go left in the direction of Bordeaux. Shortly after arrivals, a shuttle bus goes to the train station in Pau, on the way, this bus stops by the University of Pau, the Place de Verdun and the Rue Valérie Meunier.

Car rental - Pau Pyrénées Airport

In the Arrivals Hall there are counters for car rental companies: Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, National/Citer and Sixt. You can also reserve a rental car in advance using the service EasyTerra provides, they compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.

Taxi

Taxis stand in front of the Arrivals Hall. A ride to Pau takes approximately 15 minutes and costs around €20.00.

Airport Parking

There are two parking areas (P1 and P2), the rates are the same for both areas for the first day, less than 3 hours costs €1.00 and 24 hours costs €10.00. After that it is cheaper to park at P2, the cost for 3 days is €17.00, at P1, the cost for 3 days is €22.00.
