Train

There's no train connection between the airport and Taipei yet, but it's in development. The train station will be opened in 2013. Travelers will then be able to reach Taipei's center in 35 minutes by train. The train will also connect the airport with Zhongli.

The high speed train station is located at 8 kilometers from the airport and can be reached by shuttle bus.

Car and bus

The airport is situated 40 kilometers west of Taipei's center and is easily accessible by rental car via National Freeway 1 followed by National Freeway 2 which leads directly to the airport. You can also get to the airport via the West Coast Expressway. The way to Taoyuan Airport is clearly signposted.

Buses run to various destinations in the Taiwanese capital. Allow approximately one hour to get to the center of Taipei. Buses also run to several other places, such as Taoyuan City, Jhongli, Taichung, Banqiao and Changhua.
