Shops and restaurants
There's no restaurant at Kathmandu Airport! As for shopping not a lot is going on either: there's one souvenir shop.
You cannot store your baggage at Kathmandu Airport. Near the baggage claim area there's a lost-and-found counter.
There are a general information desk and a Tourist Office on the ground floor. This Tourist Information Center offers brochures about places of interest in English, German and Spanish. There's also a counter to book hotels.
Apart from some CIP (Commercially Important Persons) lounges with basic facilities like faxing and copying Kathmandu Airport doesn't offer business facilities. For this you need to turn to the business hotels in the city. The Hyatt, The Everest Hotel and Radisson (see Hotels), for example, offer meeting space and conference rooms.
Kathmandu Airport has good accessibility for the disabled. There are wheelchair ramps and adapted elevators and toilets.
In the Arrivals Hall there are three banks, in the Departure Hall only one. You can change money here. In Nepal stringent rules apply to the import and export of money, so make sure to keep the receipt when you change money. The First Aid station can be reached via the general information desk or via one of the telephones in the terminal. There's also a small post office.
