Le Meridien Cairo Airport (Tel. +20(0)2 3336 9100) which will have a direct connection with Terminal 3 will open in March 2012. Hotels nearby the airport include Iberotel Cairo Hotel & Casino (Tel. +20(0)2 2267 0099), Novotel Cairo Airport Hotel (Tel. +20(0)2 2291 8520) and Sheraton Towers & Casino (Tel. +20(0)2 3336 9800). Shops and restaurants

There's a good range of restaurants, cafés, (snack) bars and shops at Cairo Airport. If you have ever flown EgyptAir you know that this airline doesn't serve alcohol on board. You can however drink a beer (or something else) at the airport.

Baggage

A lost-and-found desk is located in the Arrivals Hall. You cannot store your baggage at Cairo Airport.

Information

There are several information desks in both the Arrivals and Departure Halls for inquiries about Cairo Airport, flight schedules and airport services. You can also approach airport employees walking around.

Business

The business center in Terminal 1 offers basic facilities like faxing, copying and internet access. Extensive business facilities, like meeting space and conference rooms, are offered by the Novotel Cairo Airport and as of 2012 by the Le Meridien Hotel (see Hotels). There are also five VIP lounges at Cairo Airport: VIP Lounge, English Lounge, Italian Lounge, American Lounge and Egyptian Lounge.

Disabled facilities

Cairo Airport has good accessibility for the disabled. There are wheelchair ramps and adapted elevators and toilets. In the parking garage places have been reserved for disabled travelers.

Other services

There are banks, exchange offices and ATM's scattered around the terminals. There's also a post office and children's playgrounds. The First Aid station can be reached via +20(0)2 2265 5555. Free wireless internet (Wi-Fi) is available in the terminal.
