Local transport

Train

There is no direct train to the airport. There is a regular bus service (see below) to Whitehorn station. Calgary is known for it´s excellent (Light Rail Train) C-Train connection.

Car and bus

The airport lies approximately 16 kilometers from downtown Calgary (near Deerfoot Trail). You can drive to the center in half an hour.

There is a city bus leaving from bus stop 20. This service takes Route 57 to downtown Calgary. The bus runs via Whitehorn (Light Rail Train) station.

In addition to this, a shuttle bus leaves (Allied Downtown Shuttle Service) for the center from bus stop 8. You can get tickets for this shuttle bus from the desk in the arrival hall near gate C (tel. +1 (0)403 299 9555). Most of the hotels offer shuttle services from and to the airport (bus stops 10 and 11).

Car rental Calgary International Airport

You can find the car rental agencies opposite the terminal (Avis, Budget, Dollar, Thrifty, Enterprise, Hertz, National and Alamo). Also, you can book a rental car in advance with EasyTerra, this website compares multiple car rental agencies and their rates simultaneously.

Taxi

Taxicabs are available in front of the arrival hall. A trip to Calgary costs approximately CAD 30.00 to 35.00 and takes half an hour. You can book a taxi with Advance Cabs (tel. +1(0)403 777 1111) or Associated Cab (tel. +1(0)403 299 1111). For limousines, you can call Allied Limousine (tel. +1(0)403 299 9554).

Parking at the airport

There is a parking garage for long and short term parking near the terminal. Also, the airport has Valet Parking service and there is a free shuttle bus to cheap long term parking spaces (CAD 49.95 per week).
