Local transport

Train

The nearest train station is in Monfalcone which is 5 kilometers from the airport on the train line Trieste-Venice. Every 20-25 minutes a local bus, APT line 10, leaves to this station.

Car and bus

The airport is easily accessible via highway A4, this is a toll road. You take the exit Redipuglia and follow the SS14 in the direction of Venice, the airport is clearly indicated on the traffic signs.

There are bus connections with several surrounding areas, for Udine and Trieste - line 51, for Gorizia - line 1, and for Monfalcone - line 10. You can purchase tickets at the machine in the Arrivals Hall or at the window in the bus station. For further information (tel: +39(0)481 593511).

There is an express connection with the bus company Terravision to cities: Bernardin, Koper, Zusterna, Izola, Lucija, Portoroz and Piran on the Slovenian coast.

Car rental - Trieste Airport

At the bus station you can find counters for car rental companies: Argus, Avis, Hertz, Sixt and Maggiore. You can also reserve a rental car in advance using the service EasyTerra provides, they compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.

Taxi

Taxis are in front of the Arrivals Hall (tel: +39(0)481 778000). You pay €55.00-€ 60.00 for a ride to Trieste.

Airport Parking

The airport has two monitored parking areas (P2 and P3) where you must pay, and two unattended areas that are free. For short-term parking you pay €1.70 per hour, for long-term parking you pay €1.10 for the first two hours, up to 12 hours parking costs € 5.10 and up to 24 hours costs €8.50, thereafter parking costs €7.40 per day or €25.80 per week.
