Hotels

The Hilton Heathrow (tel: +44(0)208 759 7755) is close to Terminal 4. Many hotels can be found around the airport, to name a few here: Holiday Inn London Heathrow (tel: +44(0)20 8990 0000), Marriott London Heathrow (tel: +44(0)20 8990 1100), Novotel London Heathrow (tel: +44(0)1895 431 431), Radisson Heathrow (tel: +44(0)20 8759 6311) and Sheraton Skyline (tel: +44(0)20 8759 2535).

A shuttle bus (Hotel Hoppa) goes from Terminals 1, 2 and 3 to the largest hotels in the city, another shuttle service, Hotelink goes to hotels in the center of London.

There are counters in all terminals to make hotel reservations, British Hotel Reservation Center (tel: +44(0)208 759 8797). For more hotels and to reserve online you can go to Booking.com, they have a large range of hotels with great internet rates.

Shops and restaurants

Heathrow Airport offers what you would expect from one of the largest airports in the world, an enormous range of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants in all terminals.

Baggage

There are counters in all terminals for the Excess Baggage Company (tel: +44(0)20 8745 4599), you can store baggage there for a price of £6.00 per suitcase per day. In addition there are counters in all terminals for lost and found items, Airport Lost Property Office (tel: +44(0)20 8745 7727).

There are porters present, for a standard amount of baggage you will pay £7.00, telephone information is available (tel: +44 (0)20 8745 5727).

Information

There are general information counters in all terminals that you can also reach directly through special telephones that are on the wall in many places in the airport. Information about public transportation is available through separate counters in Terminals 1 and 3 and outside Terminal 4. In addition there is a tourist kiosk in Terminal 3 called the Hotel and Traveler Center.

Business

There are fax machines at various places in the terminal (pay with a credit card). The business center is in the Queen’s Building between Terminals 1 and 2 (tel: +44(0)20 8759 2434). There are 20 meeting rooms and a conference hall for a maximum of 60 people, which you can reserve online. In addition the center offers extensive business facilities: computers with internet connection, fax machine, copy machines and audiovisual equipment for video conferences. Many airline companies have their own lounges, in addition there are lounges from the operator of the airport, BAA. You can book these online or make a telephone reservation (tel: +44(0)20 870 850 2825).

Disabled facilities

Heathrow Airport is extremely accessible for the disabled. There are wheelchair ramps, adapted elevators, restrooms and telephones. There is an induction loop for the hearing impaired as well as a special telephone line (tel: +44(0)20 8745 7950). Furthermore, there are reserved parking places and seating forth disabled. For complimentary assistance you can call Skycaps (tel: +44(0)20 8745 6011). A wheelchair accessible shuttle bus goes between the terminals, HelpBus (tel: +44(0)20 8745 6261). Other services

There are ATM's and money exchange offices in all terminals, there is a post office in Terminals 2 and 4. There is wireless internet present and an internet cafe in Terminal 4. Furthermore, there are children’s play areas and baby changing rooms. The First Aid office is on the ground floor of the Queen’s Building (tel: +44(0)20 8745 7047). There is a pharmacy in Terminal 1 that can distribute prescription medications (tel: +44(0)20 8897 2629).
