Zagreb Airport

Zagreb Airport (Zracna luka) is 14 kilometers southeast of the Croatian capital. The airport is also called Pleso Airport and is a military as well as a civilian airport. In 2006 1.6 million travelers used this airport.

In order to capture a strong increase in passenger numbers, there are many expansions planned for the coming years. A new terminal is planned that will have an attached luxury hotel. The old terminal will then be used only for budget airline flights. A second runway is also planned. Furthermore, the infrastructure will be improved with the construction of a new access road and a train connection with Zagreb.
