Seville Airport (SVQ)
Seville Airport is an airport especially for domestic flights (almost 80%). But the number of international flights is increasing especially with the arrival of the budget airline Ryanair. The well known and reputable airline, British Airways, also flies out of Seville. The number of passengers at the airport has increased by 15% per year. In 2005 Seville Airport processed almost three million travelers. There are improvements being made in the facilities to take care of the growing number of passengers.
The terminal building was opened in 1991 and architect Rafael Moneo put emphasis on the local culture, a mixture of Spanish and Moorish influences. Orange trees are planted in front of the building.
The airport is ten kilometers northeast of Seville, the capital of Andalusia.
There is no train connection with the airport. High speed trains leave from Santa Justa train station in Seville to many destinations in Spain.
Car and bus
The airport is along highway A4 that connects Seville with Cordoba and Madrid. The exit to the airport is at the kilometer pole numbered 532. From the south (Cadiz) you follow the SE-30 to the A4. Jerez, Málaga, Huelva and places in southern Portugal are easily accessible from the airport.
Between 06:15 and 23:00 the bus company Los Armillos (tel: +34(0)902 210 317) leaves every 30 minutes to the center of Seville (Plaza de Armas bus station), the ride takes 20-30 minutes and costs €2.30.
Car rental - Seville Airport
There are five car rental companies: Atesa, Avis, Crown Car Hire, Europcar and Hertz. You can also reserve a rental car in advance using the service EasyTerra provides, they compare the rates of several car rental providers in a single quote.
Taxis are in front of the terminal building. A ride to Seville costs approximately €20.00 and takes 15 minutes.
Parking areas P1 and P2 are close to the terminal building. Prices: first half hour €0.50, second half hour €0.70 and €1.20 per hour thereafter, parking costs €12.00 per day and €9.60 per day from the fifth day. Information about parking is available at (tel: +34(0)954 449 060).

Shops and restaurants
Seville Airport is a small airport and does not have many stores yet. There is a large Aldeasa Duty Free shop. There are two snack bars, one for passengers and one for all visitors at the airport. In the Departures Hall there is a self-service restaurant and a tapas restaurant, the restaurants are adjacent to the open-air terrace El Mirador.
There is a window for misplaced baggage in the Arrivals Hall (tel: +34(0) 954 449 043). You cannot store baggage.
There is a counter for the Tourist Bureau in the Arrivals Hall, Junta de Andalucía (tel: +34(0)954 449 128). There is a general information counter on the first level of the Departures Hall.

There are two VIP lounges, one from Iberia (tel: +34(0)954 260 915) and one from Aena (tel: +34(0)954 449 023).
There are wheelchair ramps and adapted elevators and restrooms. Wheelchairs are available, and there are reserved parking places in front of the entrance for the disabled.
There is a pharmacy in the Departures Hall (tel: +34(0)954 449 106) and a First Aid station in the Arrivals Hall next to the Conference Room (tel: +34(0)954 449 028). The airport has a money exchange office, a post office and ATM's.
