Biarritz Airport in the southwest of France is called in full Biarritz - Anglet - Bayonne Airport, after the three cities served by the airport. There are magnificent beaches on the Atlantic coast, but the airport is also the gateway to the western Pyrenees and the Basque Country in Spain.
The airport is mainly serviced by budget companies, but Air France also carries out scheduled flights to Paris Orly.
There's no direct train connection with the airport. The nearest train stations are those of Biarritz and Bayonne.
Car and bus
Biarritz Airport is situated five kilometers southeast of the city center. The airport is easily accessible via the D260; also known as Boulevard du B.A.B. Directly south of the airport freeway A63 connects Bordeaux with San Sebastian in the Basque Country in Spain. The airport entrance lies on the D810 which connects with the A63 leading to Biarritz in the other direction.
Busses from the company Chronoplus leave from the airport to the train station in Biarritz (line C, traveling time approx. 10 minutes) and the train station in Bayonne (line 8A/8B, traveling time approx. 30 minutes). The company ATCRB also runs to the train station in Biarritz and then to Bidart, Guéthary, St-Jean-de-Luz and Hendaye.
Bus company PESA leaves once a day at 15.30 from the airport to San Sebastian in Spain.
Car rental Biarritz Airport
In the Arrivals Hall of Biarritz Airport you'll find five car rental companies: Avis, National-Citer, Europcar, Hertz and Sixt. You can also book a rental car in advance using the service provided by EasyTerra; they compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.
Taxis are available just outside the Arrivals Hall. For a ride to Biarritz' center you should count on a price of approximately € 12.00, to Bayonne it's a few Euros more.
On all parking lots at Biarritz Airport you can park the first 30 minutes for free. Parking lot P3, for short-term parking, lies directly outside the terminal. The first hour costs € 1.50, the second € 2.50 and the third € 3.50. Adjacent are two parking lots, P0 and P8, where you pay € 15.00 for one day and € 75.00 for ten days. The long-term parking lot lies next to the airport's entrance; the rates are €11.50 for a day and € 55.00 for ten days.

There are no hotels at Biarritz Airport. There are some hotels on the verge of the airport, including Hôtel Campanile Biarritz (Tel. +33(0)5 59 41 19 19) and Inter Hotel Amarys (Tel. +33(0)5 5901 0404). Shops and restaurants
There are a limited number of shops and restaurants at Biarritz Airport. There's a general store selling newspapers, magazines, cigarettes and some local products. There's also a Quicksilver shop selling surfing gear. A simple restaurant and a coffee shop complete the lot.

There are two meeting rooms at Biarritz Airport, both accommodating a maximum of 18 persons. For more information: email@example.com. There's also a simple VIP lounge. Hotel Campanile on the verge of the airport has a small and simple meeting room for a maximum of 25 persons. Better and more extensive business facilities can be found in the hotels in Biarritz' center.
Places are reserved for the disabled on parking lot P0. The elevators and toilets also have good accessibility for wheelchair users. There are also wheelchairs available. At various locations, including near the parking lots, there are telephones to ask for assistance.
