Quito airport: Quito Mariscal Sucre International Airport (UIO)

Quito Mariscal Sucre International Airport

The international airport of Quito, Ecuador's capital, has been enclosed by the city's northern suburbs. Therefore a new airport is being built, 18 kilometers east of Quito.

The airport is called after the South American independence fighter Antonio José de Sucre y de Alcalá, a leader in the fight against the Spanish.

There are two terminals, one for domestic and one for international flights. The terminals are at walking distance.
