Naples Airport (NAP)

The Naples airport has two terminals. Terminal 1 is the most important, and Terminal 2 is only used for charter flights. These two terminals are within walking distance of each other.

Local transport

Train

There is no train connection with the airport.

Car and bus

The airport is seven kilometers northeast of Naples and is easily accessible from the city centre. Take the ‘Tangenziale’ in the direction of Capodichino and then the exit ‘Secondigliano/Aeroporto.’

Busses leave (ANM) from the airport to the centre of Naples (train station Napoli Centrale) and further to the harbor. Shuttle busses also go to the train station and to the Piazza Municipio in the centre of Naples.

Car rental Naples Airport

You can find counters for various car rental companies in the Arrivals Hall, including Avis, Europcar, Hertz, Maggiore/National, Sixt and Thrifty. You can also reserve a rental car in advance using the service EasyTerra provides. They compare the rates of several providers in a single quote.

Taxi

Taxis are in front of the Arrivals Hall. Ask the driver to set the meter or make a clear agreement about the price of the trip.

Airport Parking

Short term parking is available in parking areas P3 (covered), P4 and P6. You pay € 3.50 per hour for the first two hours, six hours of parking costs € 6.00 and 24 hours costs € 25.00. P1 is the area for long term parking. There you pay € 14.00 for the first day and € 12.00 per day after that.

Services

Hotels

There are no hotels at the airport, but in you can find accommodation in the surrounding area. The Charming International Hotel (tel: (0)81 231 1004) is right next to the airport as well as the Millennium Hotel (tel: (0)81 595 5406). The Holiday Inn Napoli (tel: (0)81 225 0111) is two kilometers from the airport. Each of these hotels has a shuttle bus connection. For more hotels and reserving online you can go to Booking.com. Shops and restaurants

The shopping area in the airport is on the first level of Terminal 1. There is a reasonable offering of shops that are often specialized in regional products such as fresh mozzarella, local wines and sweets from Capri.

For eating and drinking you have the choice of three snack bars, a café, a Burger King and the self service restaurant Ciao.

Baggage

The office for lost and found items is in the Arrivals Hall and is open 24 hours per day (tel: +39(0)817 896 765/766).

You can find Customer Service in the Arrivals Hall (tel: +39(0)817 896 259). At this counter you can make inquiries about the airport, arrival and departure times, hotels and places of interest. You can also hire a porter here.

Business

The conference and business center is situated on the first level of Terminal 1 (tel: (0)81 7896 633/518). There are fully equipped offices to rent and there are facilities for video conferences. Moreover, the centre offers secretarial support and catering.

There are two VIP lounges: ‘La Terrazza’ for business class passengers of Air France, British Airways and Lufthansa, and ‘Vanvitelli’ for business class passengers of Alitalia.

Handicapped persons

The airport has excellent services for handicapped persons. There are wheelchair ramps, and adapted elevators, telephones and restrooms. The pedestrian crossing by the main entrance is equipped with sound signals. You can ask for assistance with a simple push of a button at several places in and outside the terminal.

Other services

There is a Red Cross medical centre in the Arrivals Hall. You can get money from various places: banks, money exchange office and cash machines. There is a ticket counter (tel: +39(0)817 896 272/642) where you can purchase last-minute tickets.
