Port Elizabeth Airport
The local population also calls Port Elizabeth Airport '10 minute airport' after its convenient proximity to the city. The airport is small and conveniently arranged. It operates mostly domestic flights (South-Africa). Port Elizabeth handles about one million passengers and about 800 tons of cargo annually.
Local transport
Train
There is no direct train to the airport. You can get to Port Elizabeth station easily by bus or taxi. Busses leave in front of the departure hall. For more information, please visit the South-Africa Railways website. The famous Apple Express steam train leaves from Port Elizabeth's Humewood station.
Car and bus
The airport is located about 5 kilometers west of Port Elisabeth. Take Route 11 to Alister Miller Road. The airport is clearly indicated on road signs.
Busses are parked in front of the departure hall. You can book shuttle busses in advance or order them from the arrival hall.

The airport has especially reserved parking spaces for disabled people. Furthermore, the airport has wheelchair ramps and adapted elevators and toilets.

The ATM is located in the hallway between the arrival and departure halls. There is a mailbox in the departure hall. The airport also has a prayer room.
