In recent years, the airport of Casablanca has been thoroughly renovated and extended. Most flights are now handled in the new Terminal 2. Terminal 1 is temporarily closed for renovation.
Rates mentioned here are in the Moroccan currency, the dirham. 1 euro is worth about 12 dirham (March 2008).

Local transport

Train

Underneath the Arrivals Hall, there is a train station. There is an hourly service to the center and the harbor of Casablanca, and then to Mohammédia, Rabat, Salé and the industrial city of Kénitra. A train ticket to Casablanca costs 50 dirham (first class) or 35 dirham (second class). For more information, visit the website Office National des Chemins de Fer.

Car and bus

The airport is located at 30 kilometres to the south-east of Casablanca, along the main road to Marrakech, which to the north of the city connects to the Casablanca-Rabat motorway. From the center of Casablanca, follow the signs to Settat. The exit to the airport is clearly indicated.

Bus company CTM maintains a regular connection between the airport and the center of Casablanca (travel time: about an hour). For more information, call: +212(0)22 361 304.

Car rental

In the Arrivals Hall, there are many counters and desks of car rental companies. International chains that are represented are Avis, Budget, Europcar, Hertz, Sixt and Thrifty. You can also book a rental car at EasyTerra, which offers a comparison of several providers.

Taxi

In front of the Arrivals Hall, there are plenty of taxis. These are the so-called grands taxis (white color), which are much more expensive than the petit taxi’s (red color) that are only allowed to drive in the city. There is a sign with the official rates, but almost every cab driver tries to get more. A ride to Casablanca center costs about 250 dirham.

Parking

In front of the terminal building, there is a large parking area with spaces for short-term and long-term parking. Information about parking rates is not available.

Hotels

There are no hotels at this airport. The nearest one is the Atlas Airport Hotel (tel: +212(0)22 53 62 00). Shops and restaurants

After the renovation of Terminal 2, Casablanca Airport has a good variety of restaurants, (snack) bars and cafés. The range of shops has also become wider (and more international).

Luggage

It is not possible to store luggage at Casablanca Airport. The lost and found counter is located at the information desk.

Both in the Arrivals and in the Departure Hall, there is a general information desk (tel: +212(0)22 539 040).

Business

In the central hall, there is a small business center that offers fax and copying facilities and computers with Internet access. The Atlas Airport Hotel has a meeting room with a maximum capacity of 70 people. More extensive business facilities are offered by the business hotels in the center of Casablanca (see under Hotels).

Disabled

The airport is very accessible to disabled people. Elevators and toilets have been modified for wheelchair users and there are telephones that have been adapted to accommodate the visually impaired or hearing impaired. There are also wheelchair slopes. For assistance, contact the information desk.

Other services

There are exchange offices, ATM's, banks and a post office. There are telephones throughout the terminal building. First Aid can be called via one of the telephones or via the information desk. There is also a (small) children's play area.
